Hi, I’m Cassidy.
I’m glad you’re here.
My journey to becoming a therapist started in 2015 when I was participating in a group therapy session after the loss of our first baby. I remember the distinct thought, “I want to do this for other people someday.” In less than 6 months, I was in the graduate program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. I have a BS in Applied Psychology from Regis University and have worked in various helping capacities throughout my career. During my time at Regis, I received specialized training in grief and bereavement and completed my internship at Agape Hospice. Before private practice I worked in hospice, community mental health, in group practice and nonprofits. I have worked with individuals, couples, teens, and adults aged 18-99. I am credentialed as a Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and a Birth and Bereavement Doula through Stillbirthday. While I don’t support my clients in the birthing room, my training as a doula has informed my attention to detail and planning for birth and postpartum. I see my role as empowering families to make decisions that align with their values. My heart has been drawn towards working with women and individuals who know the pain of loss/ grief/ heartache…whatever that might look like…and want to embrace their “new normal.” Your reality has been changed by hardship and sorrow and is beautiful in its brokenness. In line with the practice of Kintsugi, my desire as a therapist is to meet you in that space. To meet you where everything feels broken and shattered, and help you find and craft the gold in your story. I know it takes courage and trust to do that work with a stranger. And I am already so proud you found your way here.
